UNDERSTANDING THE CASE

Taking the case history and providing an interpretation. The two main objectives here are :- 

  • For the practioner to obtain the relevant information about the case.

  • To help the patient understand the sequence of events that have led to the current situation.

We need to understand the main issues that are maintaining the dis-ease picture, before we can produce a suitable program to unwind the current picture. 

From the patients viewpoint, I am trying to help them understand the sequence of events that has inevitabily and logically led to the current situation. An awareness of PREDISPOSITIONS and HERRINGS LAW OF CURE helps with understanding the bigger picture.
