SCENAR

The S.C.E.N.A.R., Self-Controlled Energo Neuro Adaptive Regulation, was developed for the Russian space program to overcome the unique problems of space travel. A Russian team of doctors and scientists, based at Sochi University and led by Alexander Karasev in the late 1970s, developed a method of treatment that was multi-applicable, portable and also non-invasive. 

The scenar uses electrical signals to communicate with the body via direct contact with the skin. The device provides a stimulus. Records and analyses a response, before computing the next simulation. One of the characteristics of the system is that it never sends the same signal in succession, preventing activation of the bodies adaptation mechanisms.

The system works on two main pathways, the nervous system and the accupunture system.  

The nerve mode of action may be compared to 'Electrical Homeopathy', in that the signal reminds the brain of a problem, which in turn mobilises the immune system to address the issue.

The 'Electro Accupunture' operation mode, makes use of the fact that the skin has reduced electrical resistance at the sites of the accupunture points. The device is set to balance the meridian system being worked on.

The Scenar system has been shown to be particularly useful in the area of pain control by stimulating the release of natural opiates, and accelerating recovery from musculo-skeletal problems.

In Russia, there are over 600 practitioners who currently use the device as their principal treatment instrument. A vast wealth of information is available from research papers, clinical reports and training manuals.
