I.B.S. Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Irritable Bowel Syndrome is an umbrella term which covers a variety of symptoms, some of which are directly related to the bowel and some which eminate from the bowel. Some of the more common symptoms associated with this condition would be, constipation, diarrhoea, bloating and swelling, abnormal stools, spasms, pain and various levels of discomfort.

A vast array of related symptoms can be present as the bowel is a highly innervated organ. Only the central nervous system has more nerve connections. The bowel has nerve reflex connections with every part of the body, hence the array of symptoms which eminate from a troubled bowel. These related symptoms can be physical or emotional, and can ONLY be resolved when the source of the problem, in the bowel, is addressed.
