FAT METABOLISM

This stage addresses the ability of the body to utilise fat. Many other biochemical pathways depend upon the availability of usable fats. Consumed Fats often require to be altered chemically within the body before they can be used for the more vital functions, such as required by the brain (dry matter of the brain is over 60% fat).

The objective here is to ensure all the co-factors are present and the conditions within the body are suitable to metabolise fat. The main conditions that determine if the body can utilise fats are, Acid - Alkaline balance, Body Temperature and Hydration.

One of the most important tasks required to unwind a degenerative condition is to replace the damaged fats with biologically active fats. The ideal sequence would be :-

  • Use a suitable agent for the case to mobilise the undesirable renegade fats

    • To remove damaged and unwanted fats from the membrane

  • Ensure supply of suitable structural fats

    • To ensure sufficient structural fats are present for membrane construction

  • Ensure supply of Essential Fatty Acids suitable for the case (Factors to consider would be ethnic background, the location where the patient lives, time of year and current health picture)

    • Supply the biologically active fats. The sequence of suppling the Omega 3 or Omega 6 and parent / derivative fats depend upon case factors.

  • Ensure supply of suitable protein and polysaccharides

    • Supply ingedients to reestablish cellular communication mechanisms
