ABSORPTION ISSUES

Reduced absorption is a growing health problem. The obvious implications are that required nutrients are not available for biological functions. This situation can be very fustrating for people who work hard to eat a good diet, and do not get the benefits. The irony is that deficencies are one of the main causes of reduced absorption.

Problems in the digestive system MUST be addressed before many health issues can be resolved.

Compromised absorption is often one of the most significant contributing factors with many difficult conditions such as

  • eating disorders

  •  addictions - alcohol/drugs etc,

  •  many of the psychological/mental disorders - autism - ADHD etc.

One sign of this problem is when people use substances that can be absorbed directly through the mucosa of the mouth, avoiding the digestive process. Some of the items that would fall into this category would be chocolate, refined sugar, caffine, alcohol, nicotine, many of the recreational drugs etc. This is one of the reasons why people can easily become addicted to such substances.
